Field Technician – Non Certified Field Technician, Entry Level (0-2 years)
Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for in the field testing including not but limited to concrete, soil and other construction materials. Upon completion of the KSM on boarding process, a company vehicle will be provided in order to travel from our office to your assigned projects each day. KSM will provide on the job training and tools to aid with gaining construction material testing certifications including OSHA and nuclear gauge certifications. KSM is looking for applicants that have experience working outdoors, clean driving record, must be at least 18 years old, have the availability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly along with the ability to read, write and use a computer. Prior building construction experience is a plus, but not required.

Drill Technician Assistant – Entry Level (0-2 years)
Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Drill crews in site preparation, operation of drilling equipment, soil determination and much more. As this is an entry level position, KSM will be investing ample time in training to ensure that you are safe while working on the drilling equipment along with time to understand the importance of the collected data during the drilling operation. KSM is looking for applicants that have experience working outdoors, clean driving record and are good with driving 2+ hours to job sites, must be at least 18 years old, have the availability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly, along with the ability to read, write and use a computer. You will also need to have the ability to bend over, torque back and stand for long periods of time.
Drill Technician – Experienced (minimum 2 years)
Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for working with other Drill crew members in site preparation, operation of drilling equipment, soil determination and much more. Although you might be an experienced drill, KSM will be investing ample time in training to ensure that you are safe while working on our drilling equipment along with time to ensure your understanding and importance of the collected data during the drilling operation. KSM is looking for applicants that have experience working outdoors, clean driving record and are good with driving 2+ hours to job sites, must be at least 18 years old, have the availability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly, along with the ability to read, write and use a computer. You will also need to have the ability to bend over, torque back and stand for long periods of time.
Prior geotechnical drilling is required, however environmental or well drilling experience is not discounted. Valid CDL license is also a plus, but not a requirement.
Administrative Assistant – Experienced (minimum 2 years)
Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the engineers, field technicians and management in various administrative duties such as but not limited to; answering phone calls, greeting guests, work order creation, scheduling, typing and invoicing. KSM is looking for applicants with strong verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented with great organizational skills, strong background in Microsoft office (mainly Word, Excel and Outlook), basic adobe skills and have strong typing skills. This is a fast paced work environment with ever changing tasks, so being able to multitask while remaining organized with little supervision is a must. Prior experience in a geotechnical engineering office or other engineering firm is a plus, but not required.
Lab Technician – Entry Level (0-2 years)
Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the engineers or other Lab Technicians in completing laboratory testing on soils, concrete and other construction materials. As this is an entry level position, KSM will be investing ample time in training to ensure that proper testing procedures are being followed as indicated within ASTM, FDOT, etc. standards. KSM will provide on the job training and tools to aid with gaining construction material testing lab certifications including OSHA. KSM is looking for applicants with strong verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented with great organizational skills, strong background in Microsoft office (mainly Word, Excel and Outlook), ability to read and follow directions, must be at least 18 years old, clean driving record and , have the availability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly. Prior lab technician experience is not required but preferred.
Lab Technician – Experienced (minimum 2 years)

In this role you will be responsible for completing laboratory testing on soils, concrete and other construction materials. Experience following ASTM, FDOT, etc. standards to complete the required testing is a must. Overview of Position and Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Engineering team along with Field along with Lab Technicians and Administrative team. As this is an internship position, KSM feels the responsibility to train you in all aspects of our company, so that upon graduation with your Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, you are ready to step into a Staff Engineer position.
