The company was founded by Ronald Keller, Terry Schleicher, ES MacWilliam in May 1990. Having lived in the area for many years, our desire was to create a company that could deliver fast, quality, cost-effective geotechnical engineering. The company is primarily concentrated in geotechnical and construction material testing. Combined, the partners have over 100 years’ worth of experience in these fields.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PAST WORK EXPERIENCE OF PRINCIPALS
Mr. Keller is certified by the State of Florida as a Registered Professional Engineer, as a Threshold Building Inspector and as a Licensed General Contractor. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He started his professional career in Fort Lauderdale as a Design Engineer. He also spent 5 years as a General Contractor. Since 1983 he has worked for three engineering firms on the Treasure Coast as a design engineer on Civil/Structural projects. And in 1990, he partnered with Mr. Schleicher and Mr. MacWilliam to start KSM Engineering.
Ms. Keller is certified by the State of Florida as a Registered Professional Engineer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Central Florida. After graduating, she worked as a construction inspector for five years and for a land development company in Central Florida and therefore is very familiar with land development regulations. In 2009, she took over as President of KSM Engineering.
Mr. Schleicher graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania State University. He has field experience in the Construction industry and worked as a Project Engineer before starting KSM Engineering with Mr. Keller and Mr. MacWilliam in 1990. His work includes structural analysis and design of building foundation components, soils and construction materials testing and site recommendations for proposed development.
Mr. MacWilliam has several years of experience in the local construction industry with concentration on soils and construction materials testing. This work included operating a drill rig to perform standard penetration borings and maintaining construction materials testing equipment. He is a Certified “American Concrete Institute” Technician.
